Maranatha Volleyball ranked 16th in NCAA DIII attendance

May 2008

The Maranatha women’s volleyball team was recently ranked 16th in the NCAA DIII for attendance at home volleyball matches for 2007. During the 2007 season, Maranatha’s home match attendance was 2,609 in nine matches for an average of 290 per match. The Crusader women were the only Northern Athletics Conference Team to be ranked in the top 25. For the entire 2007 season, Maranatha recorded 6,032 in total attendance in 33 matches for an average attendance of 183.

In 2006, the Lady Crusaders set the mark at 2,073 in total attendance at home for an average of 296, ranking them 9th overall in the NCAA DIII.

 

Maranatha Earns Sportsmanship Awards in NAC

Northern Athletics Conference announces winners of All-Sports and Sportsmanship awards

WAUKESHA, Wis. -- The Northern Athletics Conference has announced the conference's winners of the All-Sports and Sportsmanship awards for the just completed 2007-08 academic year.

In a vote by the conference's directors of athletics, Maranatha Baptist Bible College was named the winner of the Men's Sportsmanship Award. Alverno College and Maranatha received the Women's Sportsmanship Award in a two-way tie. This is the second-consecutive year that Maranatha has won the men's award, and Alverno has won the women's.
