About Mr. Kolwinska

Jerry Kolwinska ministered for 21 years in two Christian schools. Mr. Kolwinska taught a variety of composition and literature courses at the junior and senior high levels as well as serving as the administrator during most of those years. They were thrilled when the Lord opened the door for them to join the Maranatha family in 1994. Mr. Kolwinska served several years as Chair of the Humanities Department.

Jerry Kolwinska and his wife, Marcele, have been married for nearly 40 years. They have three children, all married and involved in education. They have three grandchildren, Owen, Erin, and Christian, who are great sources of joy as they watch them growing up. Mr. Kolwinska likes to read and particularly enjoys biographies and historic fiction. He is a NASCAR fan and has remodeled their home, some of which was 130 years old.

What Mr. Kolwinska loves about teaching at Maranatha

Teaching is Mr. Kolwinska’s passion. “I often find myself walking across the campus marveling that God has given me this great opportunity to impact the lives of the next generation of Christian leaders,” he says. “I can’t imagine any other ministry that could be as satisfying and rewarding as the one God has given to me here at Maranatha.”

Mr. Kolwinska and his wife Marcele attend Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, where Mr. Kolwinska sings in the choir, serves as school board member and college Sunday School class teacher, and has served as deacon.
