Today the team will be playing their first volleyball games. In the afternoon we will be playing and having a clinic for the local high school. The goal is to once again develop contacts and look for opportunities to share our faith. The team is doing very well overall. Everyone is healthy and happy. The weather has been mild and overcast with occasional showers. Yesterday in the school we all became very aware of the spiritual darkness of the people. We realized that we were the first and perhaps only Christians those children have every met. For some we will be the only ones that they meet. While here we have been counting churches of any kind that we see. So far we have only seen two. Neither presents the truths of the Word. Thank you for your prayers.
From Cindy:
Dear Family and Friends,
We have walked and walked and walked. We went to one of the schools yesterday and taught English to the 4th and 6th graders. We also taught them how to eat Oreo's the American way. We went to Check Point Charlie where the Berlin Wall was and the Capitol on Monday. I miss all of you very much. I appreciate all of the support to make it possible for me to come on this trip. Thanks for the Blogs Shanna and Jaysha. Thanks for the update on the house Jaysha I have been wondering about it. In response to my foot, the first day was pretty hard but each day has been a big improvement. I am able to put my tennis shoe on which gives alot of support. Jaysha did you email Scott Kaiser for me. I gave the email address to dad to give to you? Try to get Dad to Blog!! I told Garth about the Blog but I don't know if he remembers. I love you all. I hope you are able to get better sleep Honey. I wish you were here with me.
Love, Mom(Cindy)
