Favorite Person: Larry Carlson

Affectionately known to me as "Grandpa Larry." I think it was my freshman year that I started calling him that. I'll never forget one day when another student called him that. He quickly turned around and said - "You have to earn that. It's Mr. Carlson to you." Grandpa Larry cared from his heart about not just me but so many students. He didn't just care about my life at school and my work there, but my personal life as well. He was and is a great encouragement to me. I look up to Grandpa Larry and have learned a lot from him - especially from his work ethic and servant's heart. This man did and does more than probably most people on/off campus even realize. Not just at school, but at church as well. So much work behind the scenes that often got taken for granted. I have a lot of fond memories and lessons learned from Grandpa Larry that will last a lifetime. Thank You "GRANDPA LARRY"!

I was on the women's basketball team my freshmen year. We were shooting free throws but were one person short. Mr. Carlson rebounded for me so I didn't have to chase my own misses. I also hit him with a softball throw in the gym one day. He is always ready with a smile and a way to help you if he can. I appreciate his hard work and obvious care for the students.
