Beloit Too Much For Young Crusaders In 6-0 Loss

Box Score

BELOIT, Wis. – Two days after an impressive 3-1 victory over Spalding, Maranatha suffered a 6-0 loss to Beloit College on Saturday afternoon.

Coach Pill stated, “Our youth was outmatched by a veteran Beloit squad, but we battled hard and made progress throughout the game. A lot of younger guys gained valuable experience in a non-conference game.”

Junior goalkeeper Tyler Holley (Watertown, Wis.) took the loss, allowing four goals, and saving two shots, while junior Kyle Kutz (Cambridge, Wis.) started the second half, allowing two goals and saving four shots.

The team had two shots on net from forward Timothy Rogers (Willmar, Minn.) and junior midfielder Taylor Pill (Watertown, Wis.), but Beloit held the shot advantage at 20-5.

The Crusaders look forward to a conference matchup against Benedictine on Tuesday, September 18 at 4:00 p.m.
