Crusaders Cruise Past Pioneers

WATERTOWN, Wis. – Junior forward Torey DeLozier (Watertown, Wis.) paced the Crusaders to a 74-44 win over Northland International on Tuesday night in front of a packed gymnasium.

The lady Crusaders ran on all cylinders, claiming a 14-2 lead in the early minutes of the game and closing the half ahead, 33-14.

Maranatha shot 44.1% from the field, and out-rebounded the Pioneers 27-9, receiving good ball movement and open shot opportunities.

The Crusaders gained their largest lead, at 8:40 left in the second half, going up 59-29 and shooting 41% while shutting down the Pioneer offense to earn their 12th win.

DeLozier finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds while sophomore center Laci Peterson (Chillicothe, Ill.) finished with 12 points and six rebounds.

The Crusaders host Lakeland on Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
