The Crusaders notched their second win of the season over Great Lakes Christian, 93-73.
“Overall we were able to see balanced scoring and shot over 80% during the game. Great Lakes are a tough, physical team that we played zone defense well against today,” Coach Ring stated.
Maranatha finished 17-20 at the free throw line and received 23 points from junior guard Matt Hunter (Pontiac, Mich.). Junior forward Joel Borchardt also had a strong game with 21 points and 16 rebounds.
Freshman center Brett Cashner (Urbana, Ill.) chipped in 10 points while freshman forward Allen Ivey (Greenville, S.C.) tallied eight points.
Maranatha has a short turnaround with a 9:15 p.m. game at MSOE on Saturday.
