Crusaders Leapfrog Cougars

WATERTOWN, Wis. – Maranatha leapfrogged Concordia-Chicago into third place in the NAC with a dominant three game sweep (25-15, 25-18, 25-13).

Maranatha made few errors and let junior hitter Torey DeLozier (Watertown, Wis.) and middle blocker Laci Peterson (Chillicothe, Ill.) do the work. DeLozier finished with 21 kills, 14 digs and one block assists while Peterson contributed 12 kills and three blocks (one solo).

Maranatha now advances to 3-1 in the NAC, good for third while Concordia drops to 3-2 with a 7-10 overall record. The Crusaders are now 11-2 and look for another strong performance against Great Lakes Christian College tonight at 8:00 p.m.
