DeLozier Awarded For NCAAIII Records

WATERTOWN, Wis. – Maranatha volleyball player Torey DeLozier (Watertown, Wis.) was recently awarded with a plaque for leading the NCAAIII in several categories.

DeLozier was tops in Division III in kills per set (6.37) and points per set (7.14) for the 2011 season.

The second ranked competitors in each respective category were Amy Newman of Connecticut College (5.10) and Kenna Finlayson of Rivier College (5.73).

The 5-10 junior outside hitter had 707 kills and is poised to shatter the NAC record of 1,945 career kills set by Kayla Leyden of Benedictine (’07-’10). DeLozier has 1,929 kills, and needs just 17 to break the mark.

She also ranks second in the NAC in career attack percentage (.351), behind Kimberly Wakeman (Dominican, 2008-2009) who owns a .362 percentage.
