DeLozier hits 1,000 Career Points In Win Over Inferno

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Senior forward Torey DeLozier (Watertown, Wis.) recorded her 1,000th point and the women’s basketball team added another win, defeating Alverno 68-50 on Tuesday evening.

It was Maranatha that owned a nine point lead in the first half on a three-pointer by Autumn Peotter (Waupaca, Wis.), but the Crusaders trailed Alverno, 30-28 to end the first half.

A strong second half showing by the Crusaders paved the way for victory, as the team shot 72% from the field and 57% from beyond the arc.

Maranatha played physical basketball and executed well, driving to the basket for 20 points in the paint during the second half. 

Senior guard Autumn Peotter (Waupaca, Wis.) led the scoring with 20 points, and senior Hallie Sheley (Watertown, Wis.) added 19.

The Crusaders look to carry their momentum into the NCCAA Tip off Tournament at Grace Bible College in Grand Rapids, Michigan this Friday (11/30) and Saturday (12/1).
