Falcons Steamroll Crusaders

WATERTOWN, Wis. – The #2 Concordia-Wisconsin Falcons scored early and often against Maranatha on Tuesday afternoon, racking up a 12-0 score.

Sophomore forward Taylor Thompson (Bristol, Wis.) recorded Maranatha’s lone shot on goal, while Concordia finished with 50 shots and 24 on net.

Carley Pfannerstill scored the first goal, igniting an attack that saw six goals in the next 24 minutes and nine goals in the first half.

The Falcon’s Faith Palmreuter had a hat trick in the game and seven players had at least a goal.

Maranatha’s Ginny Martin (Huntingdon, Pa.) recorded the loss to drop to 2-2 and freshman Michala Marino (Grand Blanc, Mich.) played the second half, allowing three goals while saving six shots.

The Crusaders host Spalding College on Thursday, September 13 at 2:30 p.m.
