MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin held the Crusaders to 32% shooting on Thursday night en route to a 74-46 win in Mequon.
Concordia opened up the game with a 19-8 lead before the Crusaders inched their way to a 19-15 deficit.
The deficit increased with a 15-6 run by the Falcons to make the score 34-21 headed into halftime.
In the first half, the Crusaders shot 1-10 from beyond the arc and struggled generating enough offense to counter the Falcons.
Concordia continued their stifling defense by holding the Crusaders to 25 points in the second half and dropping Maranatha to 2-15, and 0-12 in the NAC.
Freshman guard Caleb Burch (Eau Claire, Wis.) led the Crusaders with 12 points, while sophomore center Brett Cashner added eight points and four rebounds.
Maranatha moves on to face Concordia Chicago on Saturday, February 4 at 4:15 p.m.
