WATERTOWN, WI – Maranatha junior midfielder Taylor Pill (Watertown, WI) has been named the Association of Division III Independents men’s soccer Player of the Week as well as the NCCAA Division II Student-Athlete of the Week.
Pill helped guide the Crusaders to a 1-1 record, highlighted by a 4-1 win against Kuyper College in the NCCAAII Midwest Regional Tournament opener.
The junior netted the lone goal in the Crusaders 3-1 loss to Edgewood on Monday, finishing the contest with three shots.
The midfielder concluded the week tallying his ninth goal of the season in Maranatha’s pivotal win over Kuyper on Friday. Pill fired off eight shots, four on goal between the two games for the 10-7 Crusaders, who travel to Northland International on Tuesday to face the Pioneers in the NCCAA DII Midwest Region Semifinal at 2:30 p.m.
