WATERTOWN, Wis. – The Northland Pioneers pounced on the Crusaders, attacking early and often for a 4-0 win on Saturday afternoon.
At the 19th minute, Northland’s Marco Patz scored with the assist from Josh Netz. The score held 1-0 at the half, but Netz added a goal five minutes into the second half.
Aaron Debutiaco and Josh Conover both notched goals to put the game out of reach, as the team finished with 19 shots (nine on goal) compared to Maranatha’s six shots (one on goal).
Junior forward Mitchell Holley (Watertown, Wis.) had a scoring opportunity early in the first half that was turned away by Northland goalkeeper, Luke Valenzuela.
Junior goalkeeper Tyler Holley (3-2) had four saves in 83 minutes for the loss.
Maranatha faces Spalding on Thursday, September 13 at 4:30 p.m. at home.
