Unbeaten MSOE slip past Crusaders

WATERTOWN, Wis. – It was a tale of two halves as the Crusaders dropped a 3-2 decision to the NAC unbeatens, MSOE.

Freshman midfielder Drew DeLozier (Watertown, Wis.) kicked things off with his second goal of the season 21 minutes into the game.

MSOE tied it up at 1-1, but the Crusaders responded two minutes later on a goal by senior forward Ben Zakariasen (Pretoria, South Africa) to regain the lead.

Maranatha could not stop unbeaten MSOE though and saw their lead ultimately slip away. Coach Pill had this to say, “Individual breakdowns led to goals in second half, but this is what it means to compete in the NAC- it’s the little things that can make the difference.”

Maranatha looks forward to facing another NAC opponent in an away matchup against Wisconsin Lutheran at 2:15 p.m.
