Camp Sponsorship

What is Music and Drama Camp?

Music and Drama Camp is a non-profit camp for performing arts enthusiasts grades 5th to 12th.  We structure our camp to provide campers with the opportunity of understanding and experiencing the passion and energy of performing arts while simultaneously stretching the students’ abilities to their full potential. Tracks offered include a piano track, beginning band, cadet band, intermediate band, advanced band, string track/orchestra, drama/vocal track, and stage crew track. Campers are primarly taught by Maranatha faculty and alumni along with additional specialists as needed. Read more about Music and Drama Camp.

Why do we offer the camp?

The music tracks provide optimal musical experiences and challenges for musical and personal growth. The drama tracks help students understand the passion and energy of performing arts, both in front of the curtain and behind it. Workshops and recreational activities are balanced to peak student interest and provide campers with both learning and leisure time.

Why isn’t the camp self-supportive?

  • We want the camp to be affordable to the student coming from an average income household.
  • To operate a top quality music and drama camp, we must have music specialists for the all of the primary instruments (flute, single reeds, double reeds, high brass, low brass, horn, percussion, high strings, low strings, voice, piano)  band directors, orchestra directors, choir directors, stage crew managers, play directors, food service personnel, an activity director, a camp nurse, counselors, etc. Camp faculty contribute to the camp by teaching at a very reduced rate.

What Can We Do For You?

All donations are tax deductible (you will receive a receipt in the mail) and will be used solely for the camp. We want our campers to know the people and businesses who made it possible for them to attend, and so we would like to recognize your donations in following ways:

What Can You Do For Us?

If we totaled up the camp expenses and divided that amount by the number of campers, students from average income earning families could not afford to attend.  Our passion is to make our camp affordable for any family with children who are performing arts enthusiasts. As faculty, we donate hours of time in preparation for the camp, and we teach at significantly reduced rates. However, because of the significant costs of operating a top quality performing arts camp, we are in need of additional funds from donors.

If you wish to donate, you can…

  • write a check
  • donate online (please be sure to choose Music and Drama Camp in the left drop down menu)
  • contact Rev. John Davis at john.davis@mbbc.edu

Thank you so much in advance for your consideration.
