Fall Semester Concerto Competition:
Maranatha music students can compete in the concerto competition.
1st Prize: $100.00 and performance of the concerto with the Maranatha Symphony Orchestra in February. Fall 2011 Winner: LEANNA YORK, violin
Runner Up: $25.00 and reading of the concerto with the Maranatha Symphony Orchestra in rehearsal. Fall 2011 Runner Up: GARRETT HOLMES, piano
Spring Semester Music Commencement Contest:
Every spring, music majors and minors compete in the annual music commencement contest. Maranatha hires adjudicators from area universities, and the adjudicators are always impressed by the level of our students. Winners perform in a student body honors concert, and a cash prize is awarded to the overall winner.

Top Music Graduate Award:
Each year, Maranatha awards a “Maranatha Musician” award to the graduate who best exhibits the spirit of Maranatha in his/her academics, musicianship, and ministry. 2011 Recipient: CHRISTINA BRIER (4.0)
High School Piano Competition:
Maranatha holds a piano competition for high school students the last Thursday in January. For more info, see the piano competition page.
