The Maranatha Golf Classic is a fun way to support the faculty and staff endowment while spending time with family, friends, or co-workers. The golfing fee of $100 includes golf, food, a gift package, and a chance to win several prizes. Corporate, individual, and church sponsorships are available.
Golf, Food, Fellowship
Hey golfers, the greatest golfing event you will ever play is the Maranatha Golf Classic! Come join us at the Watertown Country Club for an outstanding day of fellowship, food, competition, gifts and prizes while supporting a worthy cause. Four-man teams compete for outstanding prizes including golf equipment, electronics, tools, gadgets, and much more. You will not be disappointed. An overview of what will take place:
Pre-Tournament Contests
- Long Drive–Regular and Senior (50+) Divisions
- Putting–three “holes” contested on practice greens
- Chipping–Closest to the cup on chip shot from green
Gifts and Prizes
- Maranatha golf shirts
- Maranatha logo golf balls
- Prize table for every golfer–golf equipment, power tools, electronics, etc. Contest winners get first choice.
Food
- All-you-can eat food stations on the course
- Enjoy brats, hamburgers, pork and applesauce sandwiches, soft drinks, candy, chips, and fruit.
Silent Auction
- Past auctions have included weeks at Christian camps, clothing, vacations, play and sporting event tickets, and much more.
Competitions
- Hole-in-one contest
- “String” hole, par-3, master blaster, longest putt, closest to the pin

More than 100 golfers gathered last year to compete in four-man teams. Great gifts and prizes are possible because of the generosity of event sponsors. Sponsorship Levels
Diamond ($10,000): Entry for 10 payers, signs at several locations, company name on brochure
Platinum ($5,000): Entry for 8 players, sign at tee, company name on brochure
Gold ($2,500): Entry for 6 players, sign at tee, company name on brochure
Silver ($1,000): Entry for 4 players, sign at tee, company name on brochure
Bronze ($500): Entry for 2 players, sign at tee
The Course
Watertown Country Club is a private 18-hole golf facility organized in 1922. Silver Creek meanders through the course and can come into play on more than half the holes. The Country Club is located at 1340 N. Water Street in Watertown, Wisconsin.
When heading west on Highway 16, North Water Street is the second intersection after the County Trunk M overpass. Going east on Highway 16, North Water Street is the first intersection after the Highways 16 and 26 Interchange. A Watertown Country Club sign is posted at the intersection.
Soft spikes and collared shirts are required.
Schedule
- Driving range/registration: 7 a.m.
- Contests: 7-8:45 a.m.
- Rules meeting: 8:45 a.m.
- Shotgun start: 9:00 a.m.
- Lunch on the course
- Awards meeting: approx. 2 p.m.
