Can the library mail books?

Q: Can I have library materials mailed to my home?

A: No. We do not have the means to mail materials directly to students or faculty.

There are however, other means by which you may be able to obtain the material you are looking for:

  • Check with your local public library. Often they may have the item, or something similar to it. They may also have their own Inter-Library Loan system which should be able to retrieve the item and have it delievered to the library closest to you at no additional cost to you.
  • Check with your local university or community college. If you live in the area with another higher education institution you may find their library to adaquate support some of your research needs. Most likely you will be able to visit the library and use the materials as a guest. And if you are a county or city resident you may be able to obtain a library card at minimal or no cost to allow for the borrowing of materials. This is often case for community colleges.
  • Check with us. After pursuing the above options, if you cannot find what you are looking for contact Maranatha’s Cedarholm Library with the items you are attempting to locate. While we cannot directly mail you the whole book we can scan select pages of a book and send them to you for your study (generally up to 10% or 1 chapter).
