Catalog Description: An investigative study of mathematical patterns, sets and structure, number value, numeration system, rational numbers, basic operations, and algorithms of arithmetic. An emphasis is placed on problem-solving and hands-on instructional media applications for the elementary classroom.

Prerequisite: Two years of high school algebra or satisfactory ACT score.
