Catalog Description: Discussion and practical application of various techniques and approaches useful is producing correct and effective writing. Includes instruction in research paper procedures.
*Prerequisites: HUEN 121 (Unless a 26+ was earned on the English section of the ACT). Credits/Hours: 3
(Note: This course is a 12 week course, but you may take other 8 week courses in addition to this one.)

- Write an argumentative essay, an argumentative research paper, and a civic discourse essay.
- Read about nine chapters from the text Writer’s Option and to write a post based on the assigned exercise.
- Write posts from reading assignments and respond to other students’ posts.
- Edit student papers.
- Write a two part essay for your final exam.
