Maranatha Women Earn 2008-2009 NAC Sportsmanship Award

WILLIAMS BAY, Wis. – In a vote by the Northern Athletics Conference's directors of athletics in a NAC meeting on Wednesday, Maranatha was named the winner of the Women's Sportsmanship Award for the 2008-2009 school year. This is the second consecutive year that Maranatha has won the women's award.

“I am pleased with the efforts of our student-athletes in receiving this award,” Athletic Director Rob Thompson said. “The women’s teams demonstrated a great amount of character in being named the NAC Sportsmanship Team. Our women’s coaches also deserve credit as they continue to model Christian character and sportsmanship to their teams.”

Coach Ring Will Serve as 2009 Summer Basketball Camp Director

Neal Ring, the new head men’s basketball coach at Maranatha, will be serving as the camp director for the summer boys’ basketball camp on June 22-27. The summer camp on the campus of Maranatha Baptist Bible College will include daily spiritual emphasis and excellent basketball instruction. Full Story
