10-19-09 Jonathan ('97) and Hope (Budahl, '98) Robertson-- Chaplain Jonathan Robertson is serving his first tour of duty in Iraq. The mission is scheduled for completion in early 2010. Pray for his wife, Hope, and 5 children.

4-15-09 Dan ('97) and Angela (Toms, '00) Kinnan--Daniel is on his second deployment to Baghdad, Iraq. Please pray for him, his wife Angela and their four children.

7-16-08 Mike ('83) and Cheryl Shellman--Mike is currently active on his 7th combat deployment. Please pray for him and his soldiers as they are overseas and that God would greatly use Mike as he ministers to his guys.

6-10-08 Jon ('87) and Deanna Hansen-- Jonathan returned from a three month tour of Iraq in late April. He extended his tour for a couple of weeks to transition the new team into the country. He reports that God blessed him with safety and success in Iraq and opened many doors for witnessing. His family is now taking a much needed vacation!

3-31-08 Mike ('83) and Cheryl Shellman--The Shellman family moved to Columbus, GA, where Mike is serving as Chaplain for the US Army Airborne Rangers. Mike just recently returned home from his sixth combat deployment.

1-21-2008 Dan and Angela (Toms, '00) Kinnan--Daniel has returned from a 15 month long tour in Baghdad. We praise God for His goodness to us during the long separation and for Daniel's safety while deployed.

1-18-2008 Jonathan ('87) and Deanna Hansen-- Jon has been deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, as part of his duties as an ATF agent.He is working on the Major Crimes Task Force, partnering with Iraqi law enforcement officers/investigators to investigate a wide range of crimes, from murder, kidnapping, and torture to forgery, counterfeiting, and antiquities smuggling. It has been great so far -- with a few tense moments -- and a joy to be in this historically significant country. Jon appreciates your prayers for him and his family while he's away. 1-10-2008-- Matthew and Angela (Marshall, '04) Eakins. Please be in prayer for my brother in-law Christopher Turpin. He left Monday for Texas to do 3 months of training to go overseas to Iraq. He will be gone for 18 months. Please pray for his safety. Thank you to all the men and women who have served their time over there for our freedom. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. COME HOME SAFE.

10-24-2007-- Paul ('84) and Debra (Kilgore, '83) Chappell. Thank you ALL for praying for Russell. He is doing well. He will finally be coming home for a 30 day convalescence leave. He is very excited! He will be returning to Landstuhl, Germany in December where he will have surgery to replace his left eardrum. Thank you for your continued prayers as he recovers.

Dan Kinnan10-9-2007--Former student Dan Kinnan (fall 1995 to spring 1997) is an SPC in the Army serving in Baghdad, Iraq. Please pray for Dan and his wife, Angela (Toms, '00) and their three children during Dan's deployment.

9-7-2007-- Paul ('84) and Debra (Kilgore, '83) Chappell. Please pray for their son, Russell (173rd Airborne). He was wounded in Afghanistan on August 31st. He is in Landstuhl, Germany recovering from his wounds.

 6/13/2007 -- Hertzog, Jesse and Aimee (Socci, '05). "Please pray for my husband, Jesse, as he serves in Iraq with the 82nd airborne (Army). He is their infantry medic and will be there until November 2007. Thanks so much!"

6/4/2007 -- John Opala ('82). "I have been deployed to Iraq in the Taji area. As a Major in the Army Reserve, it is an honor and privilege serving my country in this capacity. Please pray for me, my fellow soldiers and our military and government leaders."

6/1/2007 -- Josh ('00) Nelson. Update from Josh's wife Wendy (Gardocki, '98): "Josh hasn't been deployed. We are awaiting his deployment sometime this summer. He was scheduled for deployment this June, but has been delayed while waiting for the one group to return from Iraq. Also an update on his laptop, the Lord did provide a very affordable laptop for his use and while he is still state-side he is learning how to cope and deal with Vista. He is currently in Fort Drum, New York while we (Wendy and the girls) are living in PA since there is no housing available for the family. With him being 300+ miles away from the family, we have been able to webcam back and forth as well as talk on the phone when Josh is available."  Click here to visit their family website.

Former student SSgt. Eric Hibbs was recently awarded the Michael Grieves Excellence in Leadership award at his recent graduation from Basic Non Commissioned Officer Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. SSgt Hibbs is the son of Randy ('76) and Donna (Wagner, '77) Hibbs.

Brian Hibbs, second from the left.Brian Hibbs ('06), son of Randy ('76) and Donna (Wagner, '77) Hibbs, has been activated with the Wisconsin Army National Guard to the Arizona/Mexican border patrol for two years. 

Pray for Nathan Lanzen. He attended MBBC for one and a half years and is currently in Iraq serving with the Marine Corp. His wife, Jessica (Graham) lives in Elkhart, Indiana.

Dale ('95)
and Christy Goetz. Dale is serving with 1-1 ADA (AIR DEFENSE ARTILERY) in Okinawa, Japan as chaplain.  They are stationed there for the next three years.

Gene ('74) and Becky Mathes praise the Lord that their son, David Mathes, arrived home safely from Iraq on November 4. Thank you to all who prayed for his safety. His wife is Amanda (Weiss, '05).

Mike Shellman ('83). Mike is currently serving as a chaplain to soldiers of 3rd Special Forces Group with the US Army at Ft. Bragg, NC. He returned several months ago from his 5th deployment. He is currently at Ft. Benning, GA going through Ranger training. He should be done with the training the end of September.
