This required weekend before the fall semester is dedicated to helping freshmen and transfer students get moved in, registered for classes, and oriented to the Maranatha campus (view campus maps).
The dress code for Jump Start is Class Casual.

Friday  ** required for all new students, including preseason athletes.  Students must be on campus by 1 p.m. on Friday for the New Student/Parent Orientation, but students may move into their dorm rooms and register in the morning.

8 a.m.-noon

  • Start in the Gym. Pick up your Welcome Packet (which includes class schedule, advisor list, and meal tickets), your mailbox key, and your dorm assignment, if appropriate.  You may move into your dorm room any time during the day.
    • If you do not have a printed class schedule in your welcome packet, you may find an advisor in the morning to help you fill out your class schedule. Once signed by an advisor, you must take the schedule to the Registrar's Office and receive a printed class schedule before proceeding to the next step.
    • If you have a printed class schedule in your packet, you may complete registration from 8 a.m. until noon, or from 3:15 -5 p.m.
      • If you want to make changes to the printed class schedule, you must visit your advisor's office (check the list in the Welcome Packet), make the changes, then go to the Registrar's Office (OM 202) to receive a new printed schedule before going to the next step. Note: you can always adjust your schedule next week during drop/add week. There is  a $10 charge for each schedule change made after Sept. 1.

Registration Stations Open (8 a.m. to noon; 3-5 p.m.)
Once you have an official printed class schedule from the Registrar's Office (it will be in the packet if you are preregistered), you may complete the following registration stations in any order.
