Dr. Dave Jaspers is the oldest child of Dr. Glen and Mary Jaspers. In 1959, his mother led him to the Lord in Grand Junction, Colorado, where his father was pastor of the Pear Park Baptist Church. As a summer camper in Iowa, Dr. Jaspers surrendered his life to full-time Christian service in 1962. Dr. Jaspers was called to preach at the Bill Rice Ranch, located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, during the summer of 1969.
Dr. Jaspers graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1971 and enrolled at Maranatha Baptist Bible College. In 1976 he received a Bachelor of Science degree, with majors in Bible and Pastoral Studies and a minor in History. In 1994 Dr. Jaspers was honored with a Doctor of Divinity degree from Ambassador Baptist College. Maranatha Baptist Bible College bestowed upon him the honorary degree of Doctor of Sacred Theology in 1999.
A third-generation Baptist preacher, Dr. Jaspers became pastor of the Sparlingville Baptist Church on July 11, 1976. He also had the unique privilege of pastoring his home church, Fellowship Baptist Church, in Marshalltown, Iowa, which his father started in 1961. He served as the president of the Iowa Chapter of the American Association of Christian Schools and vice president of the Iowa Mid-America Baptist Fellowship.
In 1986, after ten years as a pastor, Dr. Jaspers entered full-time evangelism. He has preached over 600 revival meetings in 46 states and 8 foreign countries. In 1994 Dr. Bill Rice III asked him to become Summer Platform Director for West Branch, a camping ministry of the Bill Rice Ranch, located in Flagstaff, Arizona. He took the responsibility of Camp Director in 1997 while maintaining a full revival schedule.

On December 3, 1998, God called him to the presidency of Maranatha Baptist Bible College. Warm, friendly, and energetic, with a heart for God and ministry, Dr. Jaspers led Maranatha Baptist Bible College “to the praise of His glory,” for nearly eight years, maintaining a full preaching schedule, teaching with the Bible faculty, and holding revival meetings throughout the year. On May 11, 2006, Dr. Jaspers resigned from the presidency.
