Five Most Common Mistakes Made in Pre-Enrollment

  1. Having the wrong advisor sign off on the Student Registration Form, especially when Mrs. Handyside or Mrs. Morris is your advisor. This causes you to lose your place in the process and you will need to seek out your real advisor and sometimes make significant changes to your schedule.
  2. Not verifying that you have met the prerequisites for a course (including ULS). This will cause you to go back to your advisor to find courses in which you can enroll.
  3. Failing to make certain that you are enrolled in required courses that are not offered every semester (i.e. Introduction to Philosophy). This reduces your need to take directed studies.
  4. Not verifying that the elective course will meet your academic worksheet requirement. This is often not discovered until well into the semester after it is too late to remedy.
  5. Not scheduling a Bible course every semester. This causes you to be called in to re-arrange your schedule or to tell us that you have completed your Bible courses. If all Bible requirements have been met, please note this on the bottom of your Student Registration Form and ask your advisor to initial it.

Non-traditional Classes

Correspondence Courses ~  Correspondence Courses during senior year Transferring Credits ~ Directed Study ~ Independent Study ~ Advanced Placement ~ CLEP ~ Fieldwork, Practicums, Internships ~ Student Teaching ~  Enrollment at Another College

The maximum number of credits applied to a degree from all non-traditional sources is 24 hours. No more than 6 hours will be accepted into any one field of study, and the limit from any one non-traditional format is 12 hours.

If you want to take courses at home during the summer and transfer them to Maranatha, you must fill out  the application for and read the policies about enrolling at another college.
