About Mr. Mayes
Preston Mayes is married to Traci Mayes, and they have four children: Kevin, Rachel, Aaron, and Ethan. Mr. Mayes' interests include bowling and water skiiing. He has been at MBBC for 14 years, 12 of which he has been a teacher.
Mr. Mayes's Ministry
Mr. Mayes, his wife, and children are members of Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, where he sings in the choir, serves as a substitute Sunday school teacher, and occasionally provides pulpit supply. He is also on the board of Calvary Baptist Christian School.
Mr. Mayes's Academic Interests
"Though it seems difficult to choose an area of greatest interest, I am particularly intrigued by the study of Old Testament hermeneutics, Biblical Hebrew, Biblical Archaelogy as it relates to the interpretation of the OT, and the study of social ethics from the perspective of Dispensational Fundamentalism," he says.
