Volleyball Tournament
The annual intramural volleyball tournament takes place in March. Register your team by signing up with the Office of Student Activities. See rules and guidlines below.
Game
- Scoring will follow rally scoring guidelines.
- Game length will be 12 minutes.
- Three games will be played at one time--two in the main gym and one in the fitness center.
- If the ball hits the net on a serve, it is good (fair).
- A team must win by only one point.
- If tied at the end of regulation, the next team to score wins.
- Each team must have three girls on the court at all times.
- If the ball is hit three times on a side, one of the hits must be made by a girl.
Tournament Scoring
- The team with the best overall record wins.
- The following measurements will be used as tie breakers:
- Head-to-head
- Most points scored
- The top four teams will advance to a single-elimination tournament.
