Attending Maranatha programs has become a Christmas tradition, both on campus and in the greater Watertown community. Maranatha in the past has performed Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, Handel's Messiah, and a traditional Christmas program involving song and drama.
December of 2009 will see the revival of A Christmas Carol, Dickens' timeless tale of selfishness and redemption. This will be the first peformance of the play since 2005 (left), when 2008 graduate Nathan Sutherland starred as Scrooge. This year's revival, directed by Angela Morris, includes Bible faculty member Dr. David Hockman as Scrooge and student Randall Flack, a senior from Mentor, Ohio, as Bob Cratchit.
