Evangelist Steve Pettit and the Pettit Team will minister to the Maranatha family during the fall revival meetings that kick off the 2009-10 academic year.
The revival meetings are a Maranatha tradition that helps encourage a proper spiritual focus by students as the semester begins. Evangelists Joe Mark and Morris Gleiser preached during last year’s fall and spring revivals.
Pettit has been in evangelism since 1985 and director of Northland Camp and Conference Center since 2002. He first began to assemble a music team for ministry in 1992, and the Pettit Team has traveled to hundreds of churches since. The team is scheduled to minister at churches in New York, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Delaware during the next three months.
The Pettit Team has compiled a unique musical program that emphasizes beautiful sacred music but also includes elements of Celtic hymns and lively bluegrass through the use of violin, banjo, mandolin, Irish bouzouki, flute, and pennywhistle.
Team members who will accompany Pettit to Watertown include Mark and Amanda Egerdahl, Mike and Bridget Egerdahl, Joey Hoelscher, James Pitts, Jessica Sasek, and twin sisters Kimmy and Katie Allen.
