RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- After giving up 23 runs in the first game of a Northern Athletics Conference doubleheader to the Cougars on Concordia-Chicago, the Crusaders bounced back with 4 innings of solid pitching and defense. Behind steady pitching by Lindsey Miller (Flagstaff, Ariz.), the game was scoreless through 4 innings of play. Play was suspended in the top of the fifth inning due to lightning and rain. The teams await ruling from the conference on the necessity of a make-up game.
