Dr. Chuck Phelps and the Board of Trustees have agreed that over the next several months, he will be seeking the Lord's direction regarding a new ministry. We have all agreed that making this transition between academic years is in the best interest of Maranatha and the college family. The board has named Dr. Bob Loggans as executive vice president to serve as the college's interim executive officer.
While there were differences that led to this decision, we are grateful for Dr. Phelps and his family, and firmly believe that God used him greatly for a special purpose during his two years of leadership here.
As Dr. and Mrs. Cedarholm did in the beginning, the Maranatha family still walks by sacrificial faith to serve the students God sends us. We as a board and administration ask for your prayers and support for both Maranatha and for Dr. Phelps and his wife and family as we look to the future and to the continuing Miracle of Maranatha.
