 Why the Colloquium?
Maranatha's music faculty and other leading sacred musicians are burdened to be a biblical influence for pastors and church members in meeting the needs for
1. Singing to the Lord as a means to promote strong, thoughtful, and surrendered congregational singing and God-focused worship
2. Excellent music ministry and training opportunities for churches of all sizes
3. Biblically consistent character, philosophy, worldview, and standards for believers and the music they espouse.
Music is not neutral! Its importance to the church cannot be underestimated. We want to offer pastors and those connected with church music the opportunity to develop a God-honoring music program that will refresh and encourage the hearts and minds of their congregations.

This three-day music seminar, designed for pastors and church musicians, will enhance your music skills, help you articulate your biblical music philosophy, and explain how to nurture exemplary sacred music programs.
Whether you're a pastor, a paid church musician, or simply a layperson who helps out in the music program as a ministry, you will receive a blessing from this seminar. Perhaps you have a degree in music, or perhaps you've never had any formal training. . . the "colloquium" will give you helpful training and further your skills in church music.
