Testimony
I asked Jesus Christ to come into my life as a 7th grade boy following a Sunday school class. Many years later I committed my life to His glory. I am thankful for the new life in Christ, but also for the blessings of family, health, etc.
Family
My wife Janet and I have been married for over 20 years and have three children, Jason, Jessica, and Jordan.
Background
The 2009-10 school year will be my 30th year in Christian education. It has been my privilege to teach and coach a variety of sports for 10 years on the college level in addition to 16 years on the high school level.
Philosophy
God has given us who are involved in athletics a unique gift to be able to enjoy the game itself, but also to glean the life lessons that will be so useful to us in future service for Him. There are so many carryover benefits to being involved in sports in our youth. The discipline we learn as an athlete can be so useful to us in our future lives. I am thankful for the opportunity that God has given me to not only do something that I love but also be able to relay valuable lessons to tomorrows' leaders. In I Corinthians 9:24, Paul instructs his hearers to “run, that ye may obtain.” The course of life is set before each of us . . . will we be victors?
