Maranatha is located in the city of Watertown, which sits on the banks of the winding Rock River in southeastern Wisconsin.

The small town (with fewer than 25,000 people) provides a safe environment for families while being large enough to have the customary stores and restaurants (like Wal-mart and Applebees). The Johnson Creek Outlet Mall is about 10 minutes from campus.

If want to experience some unique Watertown fare, though, we recommend the Rock River Pizza restaurant at 100 East Madison Street and Mullen's Dairy at 210 West Main.

Located strategically near Interstate 94, Watertown offers easy access to Milwaukee in the east and Madison in the west with both cities being about an hour's drive from Watertown.

Milwaukee is home to such attractions as the Pettit National Ice Center (an Olympic training facility with a public ice rink), the Marcus Center for Performing Arts, Milwaukee Brewers baseball, the Milwaukee County Zoo, and the Bradley Center.

Madison, the Wisconsin state capitol, offers the Olbrich Botanical Gardens, the University of Wisconsin campus, State Street (a pedestrian district near the university featuring shopping and eateries), the Henry Vilas Zoo (free), and performing arts venues. Both Madison and Milwaukee have airports.
