Graduate Program Requirements
Because the purpose of Maranatha Baptist Seminary is to train Christian men and women for Christian service, the completion of minimum academic requirements in graduate classes does not automatically qualify the student for a degree. Students are also expected to demonstrate maturity of Christian character, competence in the Christian ministry, and commitment to the purpose and position of Maranatha. All qualified applicants will be accepted without regard to race, color, and national or ethnic origin. Students who return to studies after an absence of more than two years may be required to re-apply.
Guest and General Requirements
Guest student status is for anyone who has earned a bachelor’s degree from an approved college or university. Students should demonstrate signs of academic competency, not merely the completion of course work, to indicate potential success in the academically challenging environment of graduate studies. Guest students may not take more than a total of 12 hours of seminary courses. Upon completion of 12 hours of courses they must apply to one of the seminary programs to continue. They may apply for a program at any time. Read about Guest Student Status.
