Athletic Shoe Examples

Notes: Athletic Sports Shoes (basketball, tennis, etc.)

Examples: Van’s, Puma, Addidas, Sketchers, canvas shoes, “skater” shoes, Croc’s, Moccasins, flip-flops, slippers, Sambas, clogs, Chuck Taylors.

Ettiquette Recommendation: These shoes should not be worn with a suit, sports coat, or with a shirt and tie.                            

Class Casual Examples

Notes: Theses shoes usually have leather uppers and may have designer stripes.

Notes: Usually have leather uppers and a non-athletic look. Can usually be polished. Designer stripes are not permitted.

Etiquette Recommendations: These shoes can be worn with sport coats and dress pants; dress pants, dress shirt, and tie; dress pants and dress polo, or khakis and a polo. These shoes should not be worn with a suit.

 

Dress Shoes Examples

Notes: Usually have leather uppers, are polished, have a non-athletic look, and do not have designer stripes.

Etiquette Recommendations: These shoes should be worn for required functions when a suit is required (Artist series, Special meetings, etc.). They can be worn with suits; sport coat, dress pants and a tie; dress shirt, dress pants and tie; dress pants and dress polo.
